Seven Sisters– Stunning white cliffs by the English Channel they form part of the South Downs of Sussex. Located between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne, they are part of the South Downs National Park. Famous for its stunning white chalk cliffs and grassland it is an ideal destination for hiking, biking, bird watching, canoeing and just enjoying nature. Part of the Sussex Heritage Coast it is named one of Britain’s finest unspoiled coastlines.
Arundel Castle – One of many historic castles found in Sussex, Arundel Castle and Gardens is one of the top attractions in the region. Fully restored, Arundel Castle is located in Arundel Sussex and was established in 1067 by Roger de Montgomery. Though it suffered damage during the English Civil War, it was restored in the 1700 and 1800’s and today remains as one of the most amazing castles in England.
The castle is now open to the public and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the inside and outside of an ancient gothic style cathedral. Site of the marriage of the future Henry IV of England and featured in TV and movies, it is a Grade I listed building.
Hastings – A town located less than 60 miles from London, it is home to fewer than 90,000 residents and has a long history. Known for its internal sport and cultural events, it is one of the most popular historic cities for tourists in the region. Dating back to the early years of Britain, it is home to many popular attractions itself including the Hastings Castle, Bluereef Aquarium, Shipwreck Museum and many festivals.
